incontro al controtempo del tramonto/meeting at dusk’s counter-time

Come potrà mai amare l’umano
più della luce impazzita delle sere
esplosa, generosa, bimba d’eterno,
nuda, feroce, dimentica d’inverno,
illudere di senso, stremare d’ardore,
colmando di pienezza la visione
sconfitta dal languore della bellezza
Come sfiorare le dita in trasparenze
abbracciare in un vento di cadenze
familiari alla sorgente del battito
Come indossare gli infiniti toni
supremi dell’acqua nell’abbraccio,
la dolcezza delle foglie scalze
abbandonate al respiro nel balzo
incontro al controtempo del tramonto
perdutamente ignaro d’ogni disincanto
fiero e sprezzante del buio imminente

Chiara De Luca

How could humans ever love more
than the light of evenings run wild
exploded, generous, eternal child
naked, fierce, winter’s oversight
beguile with senses, wear down with ardour
filling with fullness the defeated
vision of beauty’s languor
How to brush fingers in transparencies
embrace in a wind of cadences
so familiar at pulsation’s source
How to wear water’s infinite
supreme tones in the embrace
the sweetness of barefooted leaves
abandoned to breath at the rebound
meeting at dusk’s counter-time hopelessly
unaware of each disenchantment
proud and scornful of the imminent dark
